The 3 most important tasks to prepare your home for sale!
DE-CLUTTER
Although most of us don’t live in a model home, we need to remember that when selling a house, it is a product in a marketplace. Sellers should pack up and store all items that are not used on a daily basis. Surfaces and shelves should be clutter free. Todays homebuyer begins their home search on their phones. Clutter will distract from the beautiful home on those small thumbnail images!
DE-PERSONALIZE
Buyers should be able to imagine themselves in the home. It is important to take down the family photos and minimize any personal items such as diplomas, sports team memorabilia, political/religious items.
DEEP CLEAN
It is recommended to hire a cleaning service prior to putting your house on the market. Having a property deep cleaned makes a huge difference when showing a home! We want the house to look, feel, and smell fresh. We also don’t want to distract Buyers with dust in the corners or fingerprints on the windows. Showing pride in ownership with a clean home goes a long way.
